Playgro Clip Clop Activity Gym

Our baby has been using the Playgro Clip Clop Activity Gym for about 3 weeks now, and he is really loving it! The bright colours really get his attention and keep him interested in exploring both visually as well as physically. There really is a lot for him to look at and reach for with four hanging toys, and another one attached to the mat. The toys are designed to help in sensory development with crinkle and rattle sounds, as well as tactile and visual components such as hanging rings, soft plush toys to squeeze, and a little mirror.

We found that the Activity Gym was stimulating for our baby, and seemed to encourage him to practice reaching, touching, holding and even rolling over. In fact, it was on this mat that he rolled all the way over for the first time as he tried to reach one of the toys. Whether he is on his back or tummy, he seems to have fun exploring and playing with the various toys. Also, he really enjoys sitting on the mat (supported by us for now until he can sit by himself) to pull on and play with the dangling toys, giving him a different point of view and way to interact and learn.

playgro-clip-clopFrom a parent’s perspective, we love the activity gym as well. It’s large enough that baby has quite a bit of space to play, but not too big to be in the way. In fact, it is very easy to put away since you can take it apart. The arch pieces, once detached, are the longest pieces but do not take up a lot of space, and the mat is fabric that can be rolled or folded. The hanging toys are detachable, which is great because you can move the toys around, hang them elsewhere such as in a stroller, or just let baby play with them! If you have other dangly toys with rings, you can hang those up on the arches instead, if you want to change things up for baby. We also like that the surfaces of the activity gym are easy to wipe clean, however, it would be nice if the mat was machine washable.

Overall, we are very happy with the Playgro Clip Clop Activity Gym and would recommend it to those looking for a great play mat for their baby!

  3. Hello Top Daddies! I couldn’t wait for your giveaway to go live! Yippie! Currently my son enjoys anything he can grab and put in his mouth. We like playing with teethers and rattles like the Playgro Roundabout. It’s bright and colourful and fits nicely in his hands. I credit it with helping to learn some of the fine motor skills he has now. He’s started to throw it around now. I’m not sure if it’s accidentally or if he’s already playing games with his Mama! Thanks again and good luck to all the babies 🙂
